DISFEAR To Appear on XM Radio's 'Hostile Takeover'

DISFEAR the Swedish "crust rock" outfit featuring former AT THE GATES/THE CROWN vocalist Tomas Lindberg and ex-ENTOMBED guitarist Ulf "Uffe" Cederlund will guest on XM Radio today, Thursday April 17, at 4:00 pm EST as part of a "Hostile Takeover".

"Hostile Takeover" is an hour-plus live program on XM Channel 42 Liquid Metal (Channel 841 for Direct TV subscribers),where DISFEAR will join regular "Mercury" host Katie Brutal to talk about their brand new album, "Live the Storm", as well as their current U.S. tour, all while having complete control over the program's playlist.

Joining DISFEAR on this tour on various dates are friends PARASYTIC, ATAKKE, THE DREAM IS DEAD, YAKUZA, TRAP THEM, and more. This Metal Maniacs- and Lambgoat-sponsored tour also includes a performance at the annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival for DISFEAR.

"Live the Storm" was released on January 22 in North America (January 28 internationally) via Relapse Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Misanthropic Generation" was recorded with CONVERGE guitarist Kurt Ballou at his Godcity Studios in Salem, MA and includes 10 all new songs from the band.

DISFEAR drummer Marcus Andersson says of the album: "The making of 'Live the Storm' has been a long time coming, but the long wait has not been in vain. The new album is probably the best we've ever accomplished and the production turned out exactly as awesome as you'd expect from a genius like Kurt. Working with Kurt was really easy and fun and his knowledge of extreme music really helped during the recording process."
